  • A very early emerging spring woodland plant with beautiful large white flowers.

  • Flowers are quickly followed by unusually large single lobed green leaves which stay the summer.

  • Bloodroot never gets more than 1 ft. in height and slowly spreads making it a good ground cover.

  • The plant gets its name from reddish juice that can be found in the stems and rhizomes.

  • A relatively easy plant to grow but must be kept moist during dry periods.
